What’s with the i thing? iPod, iBook, iPod, and so on. Guess what, I have developed some new porducts myself. iDon’t Like it, iWill Trash it, iThink it’s obsolete, iDon’t Care, and the most advanced one, iTil.

Maybe you have read about this. Everybody can earn money from the internet. That is absolutelty true. You don’t even have to swim through daily traffic. You don’t have to go to the office, if you like you can even naked while you work. Well, at least put some ’sarung’ on your thing.

So? How much will I get from working with the Internet? VIRTUALLY UNLIMITED! The more you put your effort, the more revenue you will get. I’m not lying. These are to do list to start your empire:

Find ideas; this is the hardest part of all. Ideas should be unique and fresh. Daydreaming often helps, but quickly take a note if you capture an idea. Don’t let ideas vaporize.

1. Build a website; people often think that building a website is hard and costly. No, they’re wrong. You can utilize free blogging services like blogger.com or wordpress.com or multiply.com. They have lots of space and you can place ads there.
2. Getting traffic; after you build your website, getting traffic is another daunting task. There are several things to do including Search Engine Optimization, blogwalking, or put ads on free advertising website. If you have enough money, maybe you can promote your site offline, by creating a sticker, poster, or place ads in other offline media. Of course offline marketing is more expensive than online one.
3. Find revenue; if you have enough traffic to your site, then now it’s the time to earn some money. There are lots of affiliate program for you to implement on your site. For example; Google Adsense offers you revenue if your visitor click your ads.
4. Update your site regularly; if you don’t want to lose visitors, then you have to update your site once in a while. If you own a blog, I’m affraid you have to do it everyday to keep your visitors stay.
5. Last but not least; don’t lose hope. Keep trying and trying. Don’t be affraid to write, create, build something. Good Luck.

If you own a self hosted wordpress blog and maybe most of your content is tutorials, you should consider this plugin. What this plugin do is add a Printed Version link to your content. You can add it to all your content or a certain content.

This plugin will give somekind of value add to your visitor. They don’t have to copy and paste the content to print it. Here’s the screenshot:

Installing is very easy. Just copy the plugins to your plugin folder, /wp-content/plugins/ and then you can activate it in your dashboard. After that, you have to re-write the permalink (.htaccess).

Did you know that Search Engine like Google can be a very effective marketing tools? When you type a keyword in Google, you expect to find some information related to keyword. The more relevant your keyword, the more likely you gain some information you might need it.

For example; If I want to buy a home theatre, I would search google with keywords with anything home theatre related such as; ‘home theatre’, ‘wide TV screen’, ‘home sound system’, etc. The results, known as SERP (Search Engine Result Page) is then presented. You will see alot of list contain links with anything that relate to home theatre. If we see something we like, we visit the link. We (at least for me) tend to visit the first 5 link presented in the SERP. I never dig to the next page.

Friendster use wordpress for its blogging system right now. I don’t know how they came up with the decision. But I’m glad. Wordpress is way better than TypePad. It’s free and most blogger use wordpress. I use wordpress for a while and I already get the hang of the codes. Well, I wouldn’t say I’m an expert, I just know the basic code. So, if any of you need help with wordpress, feel free to contact me.
